First Draft -Winter

Winter

imagesI jump out of bed put my coat and gloves on because I just can’t wait to get outside . As I walk out the door the frozen brees wipes me in the face. As I Take a a few  more steps onto the deck as I do every morning one foot goes up and next minute I’m done on the ground flat on my bottom.I get back up acting like I didn't even fall. I carfly walk of the deck and on to the grass.The grass was frozen hard I could feel the  grass snapping  under my feet as I walk along…

Level 1. Literal Meaning (we find evidence in the text)
  • the person hid in the tool shed.
  • he hide under sacks.
  • The floor was cold.
Level 2. Inferential Meaning (we read between the lines to infer what the writer has implied)
  • the sacks have had seaweed or beachwood in them at some stage.
  • They gave up after a while.
  • they find him but tell him and leave him there.
Level 3. Applied Meaning (we decide what the author might think from what has been said)
  • sometimes children are mean when playing hide and seek
  • The boy who hide  under the sacks won
